Transfer Students

Every student’s journey to Bryant is unique, and we’re proud that one in seven Bulldogs has joined us as a transfer. Whether you’re graduating from a community college, choosing a different academic path, or seeking a university that’s a better fit for you, you’ll find at ˿Ƶ a home where you can grow, innovate, and define your success.

Transfer applicants may apply for admission for the fall and spring semesters. We expect you to have obtained sufficient academic preparation for the Bryant curriculum through accredited secondary school and college coursework. Let us know how we can support your exciting transition to Bryant!

Application Deadlines

You can start your application using the Common Application, which requires creating a login and password, allowing you to save and add your application as needed before submitting it to Bryant.

Application Requirements

Official Transcripts

Transfer applicants must submit copies of the following:

  • High School Transcript or GED: An official, final high school transcript or GED indicating your date of graduation. Required only if you have not completed 24 or more college credits after high school graduation. 
  • College/University Transcript: An official transcript from each college or university you have attended is required. For your current institution, the transcript must indicate all courses and course numbers included on the transcript that you expect to complete before the proposed date of enrollment.

Re-Applying to Bryant

Applicants who have previously completed an application for transfer admission to Bryant University within the last academic year may submit our reactivation form. Previously submitted applications need to include the following documents:

  • Common Application
  • Writing supplement
  • Final high school transcript (waived if you have completed 24 or more college credits after high school graduation)
  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges attended
  • Bryant University is test-optional and does not require transfer applicants to submit standardized testing to be considered for admission. 

If you applied more than one academic year prior, you must follow the regular transfer admission process.

If you have completed college-level coursework during your high school career, you may be eligible to transfer credits toward your Bryant degree. We encourage you to challenge yourself academically and continue building on the progress you’ve already made.

Transfer students may receive credit for:

  • College courses completed at a regionally accredited institution
  • exam scores that meet ˿Ƶ credit guidelines
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) higher-level exam scores of 5 or higher
  • To be considered for transfer credit, please have an official transcript sent directly from the college or university where the course was completed.
