Monica R Ward

I'm a first generation teacher-scholar, with a Ph.D. in American History, specializing in Native American and Early American History. I attended Rutgers University for my undergraduate and masters degree, both of which were in History. I earned my doctoral degree in American History in 2019 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Prior to my career at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. I also served as an Adjunct Professor in the department of History and Anthropology at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Outside of academia, I enjoy working in the realm of public and local history. I also ride horses, participate in equestrian sports, and enjoy the outdoors. At Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, I am the Faculty Advisor to Bryant Student Veterans and Allies for Excellence.
